Light is the future

Today marks the International Day of Light, a global initiative to promote the appreciation of light and the critical role it plays in science, medicine, communications, culture, and sustainable economic development.
It was established by UNESCO in 2015 and occurs every year on May 16 to commemorate the invention of the first working laser, created on this day in 1960 by the American physicist and electronic engineer Theodore Maiman.
Since then, the laser (acronym for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) has become one of the most important and versatile scientific instruments of all time that has transformed not only science and technology, but also our daily lives.
This day is therefore of great importance to remember the great results obtained in recent decades thanks to the study of light and the use of lasers in common objects (from CD, DVD and Blu-ray players to barcodes and fiber optic communication systems that connect to the network and the Internet), but above all in the medical field (such as photosensitive materials, life-saving diagnostic devices or treatment machinery).
Lasers are used for important biomedical purposes, with many applications in the medical and aesthetic fields. It is widely demonstrated that Low-level laser therapy (LLLT), administered with special lamps, is effective in the treatment of pain, inflammation, contractures and emotional support.
Our nanotechnological medical device Taopatch®, by emitting wavelengths of therapeutic light, can offer the same benefits as LLLT, but in a constant and continuous way because it is wearable. Made from minimized, yet highly functional components, Taopatch® provides the body with the glowing nourishment it needs to stay stable, balanced, and healthy.
It is a mini laser that is activated with light and body heat. The nanocrystals that compose it transform the body's infrared into photons consistent with those that cells use to communicate with each other. Improved communication between cells results in numerous other human health benefits that have been proven by several studies and research.
It would not have been possible to make our devices without the invention of the laser and the development of technology over the past sixty years. We can claim to be a product of evolution from the science of light, so today's anniversary is particularly important to us.
The International Day of Light is an opportunity to emphasize that light, through photosynthesis, is at the origin of life itself. It continues to be not only a source of livelihood, but a valuable resource that can provide solutions that have changed every field of science, revolutionized societies, and shaped our understanding of the universe.
The impact of light and the technologies connected to it on the progress and well-being of the entire planet is the result of scientific cooperation that studies and puts its potential into practice.
Light-based technologies affect the daily lives of all of us and are at the heart of the future development of global society. Tao Technologies is likely to act in the present, but it is looking to the future to always create the best nanotechnologies in order to cure the world with therapeutic light, in a natural way and without side effects.
