How does Taopatch® work?
At just 16 mm in diameter and less than half a millimeter thick, Taopatch® contains advanced nanotechnology capable of generating significant health benefits. What is nanotechnology really?

What is a quantum dot?
Nanocrystals are incredibly small: we are talking about magnitudes of the order of a millionth of a millimeter. To give you an idea, the Academy of Sciences has made an effective comparison: a quantum dot (or phantom dot) is to a soccer ball what a soccer ball is to the entire planet Earth.
These extremely small dimensions (thinner than a human hair) do not limit their potential at all: on the contrary, quantum dots guarantee surprising performance, so much so that in 2023 the Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to the three scientists who discovered them in the 70s — Moungi Bawendi (MIT), Louis E. Brus (Columbia University) and Alexey Ekimov (Nanocrystals Technology).

How is Taopatch® composed?
Taopatch® is an advanced, miniaturized technology designed to deliver maximum effectiveness in a small package. A mixture of different types of high-performance quantum dots is integrated into it that nourish the body with continuous therapeutic light.
The device consists of several functional layers:
- The therapeutic layer includes five layers of printed nanotechnology that absorb light and convert it into therapeutic photons;
- Three luminescent layers amplify and diffuse the effect, ensuring an even distribution of light in the tissues.
Microcircuits and transparent materials complete the structure that facilitate the passage of light. Everything is enclosed in an insulating polyester coating, a hypoallergenic material that protects the internal components from external agents and guarantees safety in contact with the skin.
How does Taopatch® work?
A quantum dot can be activated by different energy sources, including electricity (as in QLED TVs), sunlight, artificial light from environments and, in the case of Taopatch®, by the Infrared naturally emitted by the human body (i.e. body heat). Areas with increased blood circulation or inflammation tend to emit more infrared heat.
The nanocrystals contained in Taopatch® are able to transform non-coherent light into coherent light and convert wavelengths, making them biologically active for the body.
The light emissions of Taopatch® play a key role in its beneficial effects:
- Infrared Light: Not visible, but it is one of the main sources of energy nourishment for the human body. It penetrates deep into tissues (up to 2–3 cm), providing significant benefits.
- Red Light: Visible and also able to reach the deep layers of muscle tissue.
These wavelengths have the best energy exchange with our mitochondria. When Taopatch's® coherent light reaches the cells, it helps the mitochondria produce more ATP, improving cellular metabolism, increasing tissue oxygenation locally, and providing anti-inflammatory properties.
