11 Things You Didn't Know About Tao Technologies

Today is a special day for us because it's Tao Technologies' 11th birthday! We have come a long way since September 11, 2012, when Dr. Fabio Fontana founded the company in Rome!  

Following an accident that caused him chronic pain, he looked for a solution that could bring him back to health and found it in laser therapy, but the effects lasted only 24-48 hours. Instead, he needed the results to be constant and permanent in order to be able to feel good. Hence the idea of miniaturizing bulky and expensive machinery to create a therapy that can be worn and used 24 hours a day. After years of study and research, Dr. Fontana patented Taopatch®, the world's first device capable of exploiting wavelengths and therapeutic light with the aim of helping to improve people's lives, convenient, small, pocket-sized and at an affordable cost. And the rest is history...  

On this occasion, we would like you to retrace with us all the steps that in these 11 years have allowed us to grow and get where we are now: 

1. Tao Technologies initially had two employees. Today, the company is based in Veneto (in Castello di Godego, in the province of Treviso) and  has 20 employees. 
2. The first prototype of Taopatch® was developed by Dr. Fabio Fontana in 2006. Now, Taopatch® technology encompasses a range of 12 devices, each with different specific functions.  
3. There are dozens of researches, dissertations and studies on Taopatch®, 4 of which are indexed on PubMed, an international database of biomedical research. In addition, Tao Technologies invests €350,000 annually in research.  
4. The first Taopatch® professional application course dates back to 2012. Now there are about twenty of them held annually by Dr. Fontana to train exclusively professionals in the health sector.  
5. Currently, there are 2,830 Taopatch® applicators in Italy. Professionals include physiotherapists, posturologists, neurologists, orthopaedists, dentists, speech therapists, otoneurologists and sports rehabilitators.   
6. With the Buy&Try formula, 96% of people decide to continue treatment with Taopatch®. To date, hundreds of thousands of people benefit from using our devices.  
7. Tao Technologies is continuously expanding into international markets. From Italy to Europe and from America to Asia and Oceania, Taopatch® is present in many countries around the world.
